These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of 1rmcalculator.wiki and the 1RM Calculator tool. By visiting the site or using the calculator, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
1. Service description
1RM Calculator provides a browser-based utility that estimates one-rep max from an exercise, a completed weight, a unit, and a repetition count. The page also explains Epley and Brzycki prediction formulas and shows reference percentages based on the primary estimate.
The current tool is free to use, requires JavaScript, and supports pounds or kilograms with a recommended input range of 1 to 10 repetitions. We may add, change, pause, or remove features as the site evolves.
2. Estimates are not guarantees
The displayed value is an estimate, not a promise that you can safely lift that load. It is not medical, rehabilitation, coaching, or emergency advice. Technique, range of motion, fatigue, equipment, experience, and readiness can make a real performance different from a formula result.
You are responsible for deciding whether and how to use an estimate. Warm up, use appropriate supervision for heavy lifting, and stop if a movement causes pain or feels unsafe.
3. Acceptable use
- Use the calculator for lawful personal, educational, fitness, or training-reference purposes.
- Do not use the site to harass, attack, overload, scrape aggressively, or interfere with the site or other visitors.
- Do not misrepresent 1RM Calculator as a medical service, certified coach, or guarantee of strength performance.
- Do not attempt to inject malicious scripts, bypass security controls, or test the site in a way that harms availability.
- Do not rely on the calculator as the only basis for decisions involving injury, illness, or a high-risk lift.
4. Availability and changes
We may update, pause, or remove the calculator, formulas, explanatory content, or interface at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, compatibility with every browser, or permanent access to any result displayed by the page.
A future update may change supported exercises, input limits, rounding behavior, formula explanations, privacy disclosures, or page layout. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised Terms for future use.
5. Intellectual property and external sources
The original 1RM Calculator site text, layout, interface organization, branding, and code are owned by 1RM Calculator or used with permission unless otherwise stated. You may not copy, resell, frame, or present the site in a way that suggests a false relationship with us.
The page may link to research abstracts, training references, browser documentation, or other third-party websites. We do not control their content, availability, privacy practices, or claims. A link does not guarantee endorsement, safety, or compatibility.
6. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the formulas will meet every training need, that the estimate will match a tested maximum, or that the page will remain available without interruption.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, 1RM Calculator and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site or any training decision based on its output. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
7. Practical reminders
Use a completed set with consistent technique, choose a practical plate increment, and treat the result as a starting reference rather than a required target. Keep your own training notes if you want to compare performance over time; the calculator does not provide permanent history.
