Privacy Policy for 1RM Calculator

How 1rmcalculator.wiki handles browser-side 1RM estimates, basic site data, cookies, advertising products, and support communications.

Effective Date: September 4, 2026

Welcome to 1RM Calculator ("we", "us", or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you visit 1rmcalculator.wiki or use the browser-based 1RM calculator.

1. Browser-side calculations

The calculator is designed to process your exercise selection, weight, unit, and repetitions in the browser. The ordinary calculation does not require an account, file upload, server-side job, or training-history database. We do not intentionally place your entered numbers or result in the page URL.

Local processing is a product boundary, not a promise that the estimate is accurate for every person. Your device, browser, extensions, and network environment can still affect the page, and you are responsible for the training information you choose to use.

2. Information we may collect

  • Technical information such as browser type, device category, operating system, language settings, referral information, timestamps, and approximate region.
  • IP addresses, cookie identifiers, online identifiers, and similar technical identifiers that may be processed by hosting, security, analytics, or advertising providers.
  • Microsoft Clarity may process pseudonymous interaction and technical data such as page rendering, clicks, scrolling, mouse movement, selections, page dimensions, performance signals, errors, and session-playback information. Clarity masks sensitive content by default, including content entered into input boxes, but you should avoid submitting personal or sensitive information to this site.
  • Broad usage, performance, and error information used to understand whether the page loads and the calculator works as intended.
  • Support communications and contact details that you choose to send to support@1rmcalculator.wiki.
  • Calculator values are intended to remain in the browser session and are not intentionally submitted to a calculation server.

We do not require an account for the basic 1RM calculator. If a future feature adds accounts, payments, server-side storage, or another materially different data flow, this policy should be updated before that feature is used for personal data.

3. How we use information

  • Operate, maintain, and improve 1RM Calculator.
  • Measure page performance, accessibility, reliability, and general feature usage.
  • Diagnose browser compatibility issues, calculation errors, and broken page behavior.
  • Protect the site from abuse, spam, malicious traffic, and security incidents.
  • Respond to bug reports, corrections, feedback, and support requests.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms where necessary.

We aim to use broad technical signals for site operation and improvement rather than to inspect a person's training choices. The calculator does not need to transmit weight, reps, or exercise data to calculate an estimate.

4. Cookies, analytics, web beacons, IP addresses, and Google products

The site may use necessary cookies, local browser storage, or similar technologies for hosting, security, preferences, analytics, and reliable page operation. These technologies may involve browser or device identifiers, IP addresses, and other online identifiers. You can control cookies through your browser settings, although blocking some technologies may affect optional site features or measurement.

We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use and experience the site. Clarity can create aggregated usage insights and session replays from interactions such as clicks, scrolling, mouse movement, selections, page rendering, and navigation. Microsoft states that Clarity uses a pseudonymous identifier in cookies to associate interaction data, and that sensitive content is masked by default. Applicable privacy laws may require a valid consent signal before full cookie-based functionality, particularly for visitors from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland. For more information, review Microsoft's Clarity data-collection documentation, Clarity cookie documentation, and Clarity consent-mode documentation.

When ads are served on this site through Google AdSense or another Google advertising product, Google and third-party advertising partners may place or read cookies and may use web beacons, IP addresses, browser or device identifiers, and other identifiers to serve, measure, limit, or personalize advertising, subject to applicable settings, consent requirements, and law. Google products may collect, share, and use data as described in their own notices. Review Google's partner-sites data-use policy for information about how Google uses data from sites and apps that use its services.

5. Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell personal information. We may share limited information with hosting, security, analytics, email, advertising, or legal service providers when needed to operate the website, measure performance, serve advertising, prevent abuse, respond to support requests, or comply with law. Those providers may process information under their own terms and privacy notices.

We may disclose information when required by legal process, when needed to protect the site or its users, or if the website is transferred as part of a business transaction. We aim to limit each disclosure to information reasonably necessary for the specific purpose.

6. Retention and choices

Calculator values normally remain only in the current browser session and are not intended to become a permanent record on our server. Technical logs, analytics records, cookies, identifiers, and support communications may be retained for as long as reasonably needed for operation, security, troubleshooting, measurement, and legal compliance; periods can vary by provider and record type.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain personal information. You may also control cookies and personalized advertising through available browser or provider settings. Contact support@1rmcalculator.wiki for a request.

7. Children's privacy

1RM Calculator is a general-audience website. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through a deliberate registration flow. If you believe a child has sent personal information through support email or another channel, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

8. External links and changes

The site may link to research abstracts, training references, browser documentation, or policy pages. External websites have their own privacy practices, terms, and security controls. Review them before sending information to another service.

We may update this Privacy Policy when the site changes its hosting, analytics, advertising, support workflow, or calculator behavior. We will update the effective date when the content changes.
